About Us
The duties and functions of the Marine Division are as follows:
- Planning, coordinating and regulating a nationwide sea transportation system adapted to the present and future needs of foreign and domestic commerce in the FSM
- Managing the day-to-day administration, operation, and maintenance of all vessels under the direct operational control of the National Government except vessels used for marine surveillance
- Providing for the inspection and quality control of all marine equipment and facilities utilized in the provision of transportation services in the FSM
- Coordinating its activities with other government agencies and entities in the provision of related services and assist State governments with respect to their marine transportation needs and activities
